06-21-11 at approximately 4:18 am Tupelo Police Officers responded to Wal Greens on a armed robbery. An extremely nervous victim told officers that the suspect entered the store put a gun in her face demanding money and threatened to kill her. After giving the suspect the money from the cash register the suspect escorted her to the back of the store, secured her, then left the store on foot. As the armed suspect was leaving, another employee  returning to work noticed the suspect and gave a location and direction of travel. A perimeter was set up.

Tupelo K9 Unit (Sgt. Stacy Walker and K9 Paco) began a hard surface track. The quarter mile track ended in tall thick grass along the bank of a deep canal with the armed suspect, who was hiding with his gun and money surrendering after he was apprehended by K9 Paco. The weapon used was a loaded Hi-Point 9mm auto.
